Dear Tiger Sharks:

I had the pleasure of meeting many of you at our registrations and would like to welcome both veteran and new families to the team for another fun filled swim season.  I am very excited to be able to help out this summer as a board member and director of swimming. My role will be to coordinate the coaches and act as a liaison between the coaches and the parents.   I will also act as the coaches‚ mentor, bringing my experience as both a competitive swimmer and swim coach to the program.  Should you have any concerns or questions regarding the team or coaches please do not hesitate to talk to me.   I can be reached via email at: directorofswimming@tarringtonswimteam.org

This year promises to be even more exciting than last.  Thank you in advance for participating with the team.   I look forward to watching our Tiger Shark swimmers grow as swimmers and teammates.

It's official...In our second season the Tarrington Tiger Sharks have done it again. DIVISION B Champions.  We also won the overall CHAMPS for Division B! 

What an amazing summer, what an amazing team.  What an amazing set of parents, coaches, volunteers and friends.

On behalf of the Tiger Shark Board we want to thank you for your interest in our neighborhood Swim Team. We are beginning our 2nd year and are excited about meeting new friends and sharing neighborhood pride in our children and youth. We have amazing kids in this neighborhood and the swim team is a great way to meet your neighbors and bond as we cheer on our Tiger Sharks.

In 2008 we won our division! This was due to a Fantastic Head Coach, Kelly Raymond; our assistants, David Ramos and Rives Martin; and of course our AMAZING parents. Recreation Swim Teams require significant work which is mainly done by “Parent Volunteers”. Our coaches are the only paid personnel. All the yearly planning is done by the Swim Team Board and parent volunteers. It is our expectation that a parent for each swimmer volunteers for a position for every Swim Meet. We have approximately 60 volunteers for every Swim Meet. Actually, parents enjoy watching the swim meet and spending time with their neighbors.

This year we will be swimming in Division B. Our Swim League is Chesterfield Aquatic League (CAL). They consider the size of each team and how each team performed prior to changing Divisions. We will have greater challenges this year as we swim against stronger competition with more swimmers. We know we will meet this challenge head on and do our best, which is all that’s required.

The Tiger Sharks would like to personally invite you to join us and if you are a returning Tiger Shark welcome back……watch out for the Shark Attack!!
